I went here for dinner recently. The service was good, but I was surprised that an Italian place did not have any pizza on the menu. The table bread was ok, but instead of giving us extra virgin olive oil to dip the bread in, the oil they gave us tasted more like sunflower oil ( bland). My pasta entree was overcooked and the noodles were too soggy. While we were eating, the venue became extremely overcrowded with large groups of people trying to cram their way into this small restaurant, and we could barely talk. It also became very smoky from all the cooking that clearly was not being ventilated out. I prefer more open/airy dining and my eyes were starting to water from the smoke, so I was anxious to leave at that point.
My wife and I travel a lot, and are fond of good Italian cooking. At Pasta Bella the atmosphere was down home friendly, the menu was inexpensive, had plenty of variety, and our waitress Mari was very nice. We had an appetizer of garlic bread, entrees of seafood ravioli and sausage with roasted vegetables and marinara, and finished with Italian cream cake. Overall, we agreed this was one of the best Italian meals we have ever had. It was more than just good–it was exceptional!
