Good cheeseburger. Excellent rings. Nice stop on theway back from Enchanted Rock.
Food A++. What’s not to like?!?! Ok, so the ‘shakes’ are NOT the go to here… but the food is ALL good! Onion Rings are the best.
Onion Rings. Worst onion rings I’ve ever attempted to eat. I had heard good things about his palce and was excited to try it. One word……..disappointed.
So delicious! Hand cut fries were great, not the frozen kind. Burgers were wonderful!
Great People and PASTRAMI, too!. The burgers are great. The onion rings are superb. But there’s more — the owner (who hails from New York and knows good deli food) makes his own pastrami once a week. Delicious. Ditto the pulled pork with homemade sauce. And a roast chicken sandwich that’s packed with nice big chunks of properly prepared chicken breast. And if that’s not enough, the owner and his wife are friendly and genuinely care about their customers.
Swiss cheese is not real. People are rude. Meat was good, but not great.
The definetion of a Hamburger.. It had been years since my last visit to Porkey’s. Then the joint was under original ownership and writing on the wall was encouraged.I went with my folks while visiting earlier in Feb. and I have to say that my burger was phenomenal. I consider my self a bit of a hamburger connoisseur so trust me when I say WOW!BigJuicyCooked just rightOutstanding flavor and texture. Beware a large fry is gigantic. Plan to share.
