Ken is pretty much an idiot. To even consider dickeys being good he must not know a damn thing about BBQ. They do have one thing better than Rudys and that’s cheap food, but I also wouldn’t want to pay very much for their food either. There is no flavor and they don’t even use wood! They use flavored wood chips! Rudys is so worth the money for great quality BBQ that is nationally known as one of the best in the country. Their breakfast is even amazing! Let me know Ken the next time dickeys has a line out the door for their BBQ and I will retract my statement. Until then keep donating your money to dickeys, god knows they need it to keep there doors open.
Dickies BBQ pit in Frisco, Texas was…. The absolute worst barbecue pit I’ve ever been to. The man who served us was rude and slammed our plates around on the counter, and when we asked him not to put any sauce on our baked potatoes, he smothered them in it. The food was ice cold, the meat was greasy and tasted as if it had been sitting out all day, and the whole restaraunt seemed to have had an unwelcome atmosphere about it. It definitely wasn’t worth the $45 I spent for my family to dine in at what we thought was a good BBQ joint, and I wouldn’t reccommend this place to anyone that I had any amount of repect for.
Look, most of us know that there is just no great BBQ in the area, at least not in Frisco. That said, Dickies is as close as you’ll get-and, yes, I’ve tried them all. Here, kids eat free and there are plenty of sides- AND THEY’RE GOOD. 3 different sauces, WHOLE jalapenos, and much, much less expensive -and better-than Rudy’s.
