Best sushi I have had coast to coast and somehow it’s in Frisco. Seriousely, I make it a point to experience local sushi on every coast of the U.S., Alaska, Hawaii as well as other countries. Any time friends come in from out of town I have to take them to Sake Toro. I guide fishing expeditions in Alaska so the freshness of fish is paramount to me. Sake Toro comes through like a champ! The atmosphere is contemporary and fun with cool music playing and a staff that really has fun with it. Creative rolls that will blow your taste buds away and leave you begging for more. My favorites are the Lion Roll, Screaming Orgasm, Ex Girlfriend, Tower, and Crawfish Volcano. For sushi try the Yellow Tail Belly for melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and the Flounder is always good. I’m making myself hungry, can’t wait to go again.

Bad service. Not going back, do not recommend, slow service and rude. Overpriced.
Registered just so I can post about Sake Toro. We have gone there regularly since they opened. Never going back there!Lets ignore the wrong orders (she might have misunderstood).Let’s ignore the kitchen taking too long– nearly 2 hours for a very small and simple order (but they were not THAT busy)Lets ignore the multiple times we very nicely begged for water refills (she’d smile and shrug and walk away… what???Let’s ignore that the food for my child came out 45 minutes later than the rest. I know it comes out at different times, but REALLY?Let’s ignore the edemaMme (took nearly an hour for it to arrive on our table) was ICE FROZEN COLD! And we were ignored when we asked for it to be warmed up.How about when we specifically told TWO people that the FOOD WAS BAD and we were totally ignored? SHe smiled, shrugged her shoulders and walked away. He shrugged his shoulders, said Oh, sorry. and walked away. This was NOT a language mis-communication. She totally understood and chose to ignore it.And they even got the bill wrong. We paid for all that crappy food we didn’t even eat. Such a shame. When they first opened, they were AWESOME! We used to get takeout all the time, never once had a problem. But now the menu has changed, the way they prepare it has changed, and it’s not good anymore.I have ordered the same dish since they opened. Since the menu change, it’s now horrible. Using old shrimp that they fried early in the day and reused? (that’s what the waitress told us. her words, not mine) They are making shortcuts and it’s not good for the future of the restaurant.They lost us forever.
The sushi is good and fresh but the service is terrible. We have been at least a dozen times and I’m convinced the service gets worse each time. The sushi is always good though which is why we ever go back. Just plan on a long dining experience. Rolls are small and priced reasonably. This is perfect if you like trying many different rolls.
Too Expensive!!!!. I went here once with my daughter. The sushi was ok, but the prices were terribly high!!!! I have not been back and will not be back!!!!!
