Setting the standard in Collin County. Simply delicious Mexican Food. Since they opened I have had consistently excellent service. Food is fresh. The Margaritas….perfection. I highly recommend this place. I cannot believe the other reviews. I drive over 20 miles to eat here and believe me there are other options but none as good as my old stalwart Tupy’s!
Do not order the tacos! The taco paste meat~like substance is disgusting & gross. And don’t count on service either. Got out order wrong and became MIA for the rest of our lunch.
Ok Mexican food. Somewhat bland. Microwave food but, it did come out in 2 minutes. Good margaritas.
I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. I am very picky when if comes to tex mex, and Tupy’s really measured up. When my husband arrived on a Sunday night, we were greeted at the door by the owner and quickly got a table. Chips and salsa arrived soon after that, and while they weren’t the best I’ve ever had, they were warm and fresh. The salsa was a little watery but flavorful nonetheless. I had chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce for my entre–the chicken was flavorful and the sauce was delicious. My husband had the carne asada and the bite I stole from his plate tasted great as well. I just had to finish my meal with the sopapillas which were nothing too special but still delicious. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely return.
Great Enchilada’s and margaritas. Great food and service and atmosphere with reasonable priced enchiladas with Chili con carne sauce. Same great food as the father’s place on Inwood – tupinamba’s but a much nicer up to date location. Margaritas are perfection. Transplant from Houston and dedicated Pappacito’s customer but this place matches with better prices and slightly smaller but proper sized portions. Flan is excellent too
When Tupy’s first opened I thought it was really good. Recent experiences have not been good, either in service or quality of food. Keep going.
Best Mexican Food In Dallas. I ate at Tupinamba for 13 years before Tupy opened up north…it is the best Mexican food in Dallas bar none. You haven’t live until you’ve tried the Tupy taco and the tamales are fantastic. Ask for the special salsa and you will find it is great. Almost as good as the food is the wait staff…professional, fast, attentive. There is not a bad item on the menu…trinos street tacos are unbelieveable.
