We went for our second time. I ordered a Hamburger medium. It came out more than well done. The out side of the meat was burnt so bad it was crunchy. Meat was dry like leather. Way over priced. You can get a much better Hamburger other places for much less. We sat out side and the ugly were so bad it was hard to keep them off your food. The owner has dome nothing to help keep them away. We won’t be back
Visited for lunch with a girlfriend who is a regular here. It was certainly worth the drive out into the ‘country’ as we had a fun lunch. Im told this restaurant is crazy busy with families at the weekend and the outside area looked like a perfect setting to enjoy the Houston weather. Live music and a fire pit outside together with very friendly service and delicious food all add up to a great location to visit nofixedabodeforsue.com
Tonight was my first visit to Dekker’s. I had the 10 oz bacon wrapped filet. It was one of the best steaks I have ever had. A good price for the steak too. Service was excellent. I think this may be my new favorite restaurant. The steak was tender and full of flavor I loved it.
Texas Roadhouse prender. Below average burger. No Shiner on tap. Some pricy entrees. Decent service. But nothing that authentic.
A Wonderful Find. While traveling from Katy to San Antonio, we stopped at Dekker’s thinking it would be the usual brisket barbecue place. No, no, no. It’s much better than that! I had the shrimp linguini, which was full of huge gorgeous shrimp, fresh spinach, mushrooms, fresh tomato, and of course the linguini itself. Placed on top were two very large fried asparagus spears, so decadent and delicious. This was the best version of the dish I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak; this was accompanied by fabulous mashed potatoes and perfectly prepared fresh green beans. I’m so sorry we don’t live closer to Dekker’s, as we would like to try everything on the menu. The meal was on the expensive side, but it was worth every penny. I recommend you take half your meal home for the next day. The large servings easily allow for that.
Good food but a bit pricy. But what hasn’t gotten pricy in Flusher. The small town atmosphere with one down to earth BBQ spot is a one lane traffic jam.
Ribeye for lunch. I ordered the ribeye, grilled asparagus, and smashed potatoes. The steak was flavorful and juicy….a little pricey but well worth it. Will definitely be back!
