Very good oysters… Size and freshness. Also had the gumbo and sampled the oyster bisque. Good portion sizes decent flavour. Good prices. A busy popular place.

Fresh raw oysters on the half shell – a bakers dozen for about $14 during Happy Hour. Good deal! The shrimp gumbo is spicy though not too hot and a bowl will easily satisfy two of you. The po-boy sandwich is overflowing with either crawfish, shrimp, or oysters, or a mix which isn’t listed on the menu. Given that it’s all fried though it gets tough to distinguish one from another… it’s all just fried stuff. I’d probably go with just crawfish next time.Great, attentive service at this little place in the downtown area. It was quiet when we visited in the early evening in mid-December. I’m sure it’s hopping during peak times down here!

I ordered the large Red Beans and Rice. When it arrived I discovered that large is really HUGE. It was so large that I forgot to take a photo. Bummer because the plating as as nice as the red Beans and Rice was huge.

Onion rings, calamari and shrimp cocktail. Great food and even better service. Everything taste sooo good and the calamari was cooked to perfection. Onion rings were crispy and yummy. Try the bread pudding. It’s different but very good. Great place and even better food.

Nice staff too!. After every non-breakfast of crawfish, we decided to get another seafood option. His fresh oysters in the half-shell varied in size from smallish to huge – overall a nice sized portion. To make a meal, he ordered a bowl of gumbo. The traditional NewOrleans style dark sauce held oysters, sausage, and lots of other good favors, which he would not share. The bowl was huge and the to-go leftovers made two more meals!I decided to stick with crawfish and my crawfish touffe was really appropriately Cajun spicy….I need to remember to order mine northern style. The waiter quickly brought me more plain white rice to quiet my Midwest no-heat mouth. The sauce was creamy but not heavy. With lots of crawfish, I ate every bite had none to take home. When traveling in this area again, we would return.

Very good. Shrimp poboy and peel and eat shrimp were both fantastic.

Not a good experience. We arrived at lunch time on a Friday during Lent at seafood place, so okay, expecting it to be busy. When told the wait would be 15-20 minutes, I got the impression that they would prefer if we went elsewhere; we weren’t in a hurry so we waited. We got our table after about 15 minutes (other patrons were really nice about switching tables if a party of 2 were at a table for 4). We put our order in for a Pearl Po Boy (fried oysters in cajun sauce), a blackened tilapia sandwich, and a fried tilapia sandwich. We noticed food was coming out of the kitchen at a snail’s pace. After probably 30 minutes, the waiter comes to our table and asks me to substitute my oysters for either crawfish or shrimp because they’re waiting on a delivery of oysters (at an oyster bar) but no ETA on the oysters given. I switch my order to a fried tilapia sandwich with onion rings and we wait another 20 minutes. We get our food, the breading on the fish sandwich and onion rings is the same — BLAND as can be, no flavor at all. Around this time, other tables start getting oysters coming out of the kitchen. Would’ve rather waited for the oysters if I had known. Really disappointing for a place rated as highly as this.
