Sweet Tooth. Every kind of candy imaginable. Willy Wonka couldn’t have dreamed up this place. You could go every day for a year and still not taste everything. And the ice cream was delightful. (Make sure to ask for samples before you decide.)
LOVE. My kids and I love coming to La King’s. In fact, we sometimes make a trip down to Galveston for the sole purpose of going there. Their ice cream is great (my favorite is the lemon gelato) and when you get lucky enough to watch the salt water taffy being made, stick around for the super fresh, super delicious samples.Just a great place for sweets.
A must in Galveston!!!!. Awesome experience!!! Loved the atmosphere, service and treats!!! Would suggest malts, dr. pepper floats and candy!!!! Go visit and enjoy!

Best Ice Cream Ever! Everytime we come to Galveston we eat here everyday of our stay. Ice cream and shakes are my favorites, but absolutely everything else is in a class of its own. Can’t go wrong no matter what you choose.
Fun and Fantastic. We love going to La King’s, it’s almost like a candy carnival. The homemade ice creams are so good, and then they have cases and cases of chocolately gooey candies and treats. Fudge, covered nuts, fruit slices. And when they are making salt water taffy that machine goes TAT TAT TAT and gets the kids all excited, especially when they thrown the candy to the kids. And parents can have some delicious coffee or espresso and sit at the tables in the back while the kids ride the mini 50 cents carousel. A MUST VISIT when you are in Galveston.
On a level all alone. This place is extraordinary. The ice cream is fantastic, the shakes and floats are very tasty and the confections are numerous. Stepping in this place is like stepping back in time a 100 years. This place is a gem and is not just for the people coming and going from the cruise ships.We highly recommend.
