They have great hummus and the dinner plate I had gotten was also delicious. They don’t have shawarma though, or how ever you spell it ha. Which is the only reason I ever go to Mediterranean. I was very disappointed in that. They are also a bit pricey I think it was about $35 for and app, dinner and maybe two beers. If you’re craving med food then this is a good place to go, just don’t expect chicken or lamb shawarma.

Great Restaurant. Everything. It is the most delicious restaurant in all of Houston. Great food.

We were there in a slow day so hard to tell about the service at peak times. Staff was friendly and unobtrusive. Portion sizes were generous. I had the Gyros platter and my husband had the Mousakka and Lentil soup. We also hate a hummus so we had almost another whole meal to take home. Food was flavorful and well prepared though I’ve tasted better Musakka. They did lovely veggies which was a nice change of pace. Hummus was perfect. Greek salad was a little heavier than I like on dressing but the feta was fresh and produce crisp. All in all, I would rate better than average food and good value for the money.

Highly Recommend it. Been to the Mediterranean Chef a couple of times and each time they prove that their food is delicious. I am not a food expert but I know that their falafel and gyro are yummy. It seems like it is a family business and the owner is always there to welcome the customers and even sometimes serves the food himself. Delicious food, great service. Will surely come back. Again

Bad Experience. I recently ate at the Mediterranean Chef with my daughter and granddaughter. I had a meal of spanakopita, my daughter had a Greek salad, and granddaughter had a kids meal of spaghetti. The meals were good, but I was double billed, two separate amounts, for our meals. I have been dealing with the restaurant’s manager and my credit card company to try to resolve the problem without results as of this point.I live in the Houston area and visit Galveston frequently. I have been a customer of the Mediterranean Chef before and have been pleased with their food and service in the past.I won’t go back.

We have this place a thumbs down because even though it had a few dishes going for it, overall it wasn’t as good as other Mediterranean diners we have been to. The main problem was not enough flavor! The hits were the shish kabob chicken and steak and the pita bread. Also, we enjoyed the Greek potatoes but felt they needed more spice- perhaps garlic or smoked paprika. The hummus, Baba ganush, and tabouli all needed more flavor! The dolmas leaves were too tough and needed lemon sprinkled all over them. My stepson enjoyed his mozzarella sticks and my daughter liked her calamari. Both were served with a chunky tomato sauce that needed to be pured more. The chef in the kitchen needs to spice things up! It was nice that they served us outdoors so we could have out dog with us. The waiter was very attentive and helpful.

Really good food and nice atmosphere. Been here many times, but had the Greek salad with chicken today. Really filled me up and was tasty tasty.
