Unbelievable food and service. Did some research to find the best local restaurants in Galveston and this one made the list, so we decided to try it. It is a counter service restaurant, meaning, no waiter or waitress, as you order food from the counter and they bring it to you. I got the fish tacos and my wife got the mahi-mahi, both were excellent. A definite neighborhood find for visitors.
Went with a friend who has a lot of allergies, they were very accommodating and sweet. The veggie burger is superb and the apple salad is good. They’re owned by the same people add the bakery across the street, which is also worth checking out.
Very casual ordering at the counter, but the breakfast is superb! Wanted to try the Corned Beef Hash Tacos, but unfortunately they were temporarily out. So I opted for the Veggie Omelet which was well cooked and filled with fresh veggies. Apple Pecan Salad was a nice side. My wife had the Mosquito Benedict which was outstanding! Perfectly cooked shrimp and extraordinary flavor combination! Cheesy grits were also excellent. Will definitely revisit this place!
We went and an accident found the Mosquito Cafe When you entered it is a cute quaint little place with inside eating or outside eating they had a great variety of different types of food for everybody the prices were a little expensive but the food was exceptional
Mosquito was recommend by a friend so we decided to try. The Alfredo pasta with chicken was delicious- very rich and creamy with a lot of rosemary. The steak sandwich was good but it could have been better if the bread was fresh! The apple pecan side salad was very tasty. Another thing that was disappointing they only had three kinds of hot tea, none which I liked. We wanted to seat and the upper patio because every where else was full and one of the waiter told us that it was ok. The other one told us we had to find another table because they would not serve us there!!!
Excellent homemade food pecan. Apple salad was delicious with the quesadilla also the linguine with shrimp fettuccine sauce was superb. Highly recommend for breakfast and for lunch.
Fantastic experience! Great food, friendly and attentive customer service. We had our dogs with us and ate on the pretty patio. The roasted chicken salad tasted so fresh. We bought a reasonably priced bottle of wine and took home the remainder.
