When you get tired of seafood and just need some, good home cooked food this is the best place for chicken fried steak! Be careful not to drive past it because it sits on the side of the road with not a very big sign. Friendly honestly waitstaff.
Although it looks like a dump from the outside, the snapper with fresh tarter, an actual green lettuce salad and grilled vegetables was excellent.
Great apps (crab balls) and the Shrimptastic platter was also great. May not return but the service was good and the food was satisfying needed more wine options. 🙂
Horrible service. Appetizer came at the end of our meal. Five at our table were served at different times. Daughter ordered a dinner salad which was served last. Fries were stone cold. Very bad experience.
Mobile home restaurant. There’s not a lot to choose from on the west End and nates is not much more.I would recommend the chicken parmigiana lunch specialhowever I would not recommend the owner’s wife drunk at the bar .Best RegardsDavid Watkins
Anniversary in Galveston. My wife and I go to Galveston every year for our Annivesary . We always stay down by Nates, Great place to have lunch and dinner. The food is great and the staff is awesome, always friendly and just a joy to eat there. Will be back in April for # 32. I hope they have the boiled crawfish again this year, they know how to make it Turbo! The Bread Pudding is to Die For!
OH WOW. LOOOOOVE the fried catfish dinner. Absolutely fresh and delicious, every time.
