We stopped here right as they had first opened and the place was wonderful. A year later and nothing has changed. If you are looking for an upper scale atmosphere with very alternative service this is the place. Wonderful homemade authentic Italian cuisine and seafood. Make a reservation for best results. Lasagne and veal piccatta are my favorite
Mediocre, overpriced itialian food. Ordered a lunch chicken dish with sun dried tomatoes and risotto. No sun dried tomatoes on the dish at all. Waiting g brought a dish of chopped pieces of tomato. So much olive oil on the risotto that it turned it to mush. Whoever said that this place serves the best Italian food on the island is either delusional or has no idea what Italian food is supposed to taste like. Restaurants seem to come and go in this location. And better off if this one goes.

The owner is very personable and proud of his restaurant, staff and his locale’s history. The chef is an Italian transplant from South America who really knows how to bring authentic Italian dishes that pop. All the pasta and bread is made in house and both are divine.Do not miss this place when you go to galveston
Chef Rico continues to Amaze with everything that comes across the table. Make it a point to spend plenty of time enjoying not only your meal, but this entire dining experience. The venue is not overly crowded, the wine list is sufficient, and the fare is truly worthwhile.
Riondo’s is a winner in our book. My husband is a fiend when it comes to his veal marsala, so when he saw it on the menu at Riondo’s, his expectations were set very high. And Riondo’s beat his expectations! It was wonderful (yes, he let me have a taste.) Love the decor, quiet and relaxing. The wait staff was gracious and attentive and the wine selection was impressive. Their choices for our wines were perfect for us. Will tell all of our friends.
Drive over 40 miles to eat here and the service was not good. Waitress forgetting our order. Incomplete our order. Blamed in on a late night for staff.
Addendum to my initial review; the owners Don and Ricco are so sweet and really aim to please !
