The ambience is nice (when there isn’t a loud drunk cursing at the bar) and the food is okay, but for the price I expect better. The dishes are nothing special, everything was way underseasoned, and the plating has gone downhill. My friend’s dinner looked nice (nothing inspired) but mine was just everything thrown on the plate. I do recommend the tres leches cake. Oh, the bread was really good.
I was not impressed, for a restaurant that claims to be a five star top 100 in the USA. The food was ridiculously priced. We got the sea bass, which was good but not great. It was $60 an entree. The presentation wasn’t even that good either. The place was very small and stuffy. The only positive thing I have to say is they do have a great and extensive drink selection that was decently priced. They do charge more than most places for the high end liquor. The pappy was $60 a shot which I’ve seen for as little as $30 and the King Louis was $370 a shot!! I’ve never seen it for more than $200 tell now. This place is overrated and not worth the high bill. It’s a must make reservations dinning and I don’t see why.

Great place, a little pricey, but worth it. I’m on a low carb diet, and I had the pecan crusted red snapper. Awesome! The pecans kept it low carb, and it added a great flavor. I definitely plan on going again when I am back there.
Amazing meal at Rudy & Paco’s. Rudy & Paco’s comes closes to the fine New Orleans dining that I grew up with. Paco was a charming host. My husband had the crab bisque which was excellent. We both had the scallops as an entre, which is highly recommended.
Best Restaurant in Houston Area. Great food, service and ambiance. Wish there was another R & P’s in Houston. The lobster appetizer is to die for.
Great service and delicious food. The food was absolutely the best and the service totally exceeded anything we anticipated. Very romantic. We celebrated our anniversary at Rudy and Paco’s. We could not believe we have missed this amazing Galveston jewel all these years. We will never return to Galveston without dining at Rudy and Paco’s. Thank you Paco for a delightful evening.
