Food is decent with a different style but way over priced. I was told the sauerkraut were the best by the staff, I love sauerkraut. They were not good, this place is way overrated on their food. It seems to be a popular spot though.
Kid friendly food and waitstaff. Besides Philly Cheesesteak and yummy homemade fries, they have bacon crusted mac and cheese, burgers, chicken tenders, big Germanesque pretzel (more like a giant Auntie Annies) and all sorts of Brats. Can sit inside or out. Patio heaters and a fire pit make it warm even on a cool day like today.Salad is average, nothing special. The vinaigrette is excellent though. Worth a stop in for a craft beer and view of the strand.
I give it a TEN!. Phenomenal food, kitchen open til 1:45, super friendly staff! They allow dogs on the patio, and have a full bar. We came from Huntsville for the night and spent most of our trip at this tavern! Will definitely be back!
What a great find! The owner & staff are very friendly and knowledgable and the atmosphere is perfect for dinner, lunch or a few drinks with friends. Don’t miss this fun bar & grill!
Fun on Strand. Great atmosphere and super cold beer. Great fine while walking down Strand. all the food is hand made daily, so nothing is frozen. Owner was great and the service was fast, a must do when in Galveston.
