Found this charming spot quite by accident. Fresh, delicious soup served by friendly server. I can see that the large dining room where I was seated could get loud with the tables a bit too close to each other, but I can live with that! Food and service well worth it.
Excellent avocado sandwich, chili, garlic soup and bacon(!) cookies.
New Favorite Spot. I absolutely love this place. We stopped in by accident because the BBQ restaurant across the way was out of chicken. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was charming. It was a refreshing change of pace. I loved my smoothie:)
Picture Perfect Proposal. The owners of Avocado Cafe were so invaluable in helping plan the proposal of R and D. Every girl wants a proposal like this one. It was a surprise and all caught on film! The owners were available for every detail. They had a special dessert waiting for her, they rearranged the furniture in the cafe just for the occasion, they played it cool, and she never knew what was coming. All the family waited patiently nearby and the owners, noticing we had been there for awhile, served us outside the cafe. They brought us menus, drinks, and food. It was so lovely! They treated us like friends that they genuinely cared for. The proposal was after dinner outside on the porch next door to Avocado Cafe. She was thrilled and all the family was there (with full bellies) to watch. It was the best proposal I’ve ever seen and it couldn’t of happened without the help of Avocado Cafe owners. They are wonderful people! Oh and the food is the best! Everything is always so fresh and colorful. You can just have them surprise you if you don’t know what you want. They have gluten free options too.
Food and atmosphere=A+. Family owned and run place with great atmosphere and good healthy food and drinks. Met there to catch up with a friend I haven’t seen in 37 years. Perfect setting with no pressure to vacate table while we visited. Quiet. Can’t wait to return with husband to try other menu items and their juices! Loved the decor!
Bridal Shower Success. A little off the beaten path, Avocado Cafe was the perfect location for my friend Chelsey’s bridal shower! The old fashioned house had perfect Southern styling, and the owners incorporated my decorations and shower details into their decor. We created a special event menu that included the Orzo Pasta (Greek pasta baked with tomatoes,basil and olive oil, topped with cheese) and the 12 Signature Sandwich. Both were delicious. Their tangy balsamic dressing is superb, and even our more finicky out-of-town palates were praising the food. But the real show stopper was dessert. I requested Banana Pudding Cupcakes (which hold special significance to my friend, since she made them on her first date with her fiance), and though they aren’t on their menu, Avocado Cafe happily agreed to make them. They were out of this world! I mean, out of this world. The whole bridal party was commenting on them a day later, and the guests were taking photos of them like they were a tourist attraction! Great food, phenomenal prices, personal touches, and friendly service. I can’t wait to try the new dinner menu!
Just let us know…. French dip is not a menu item….food gets rave revues (normally). Trying to control a 3 year old is much like trying to herd birds….it just doesn’t work. Grandpa is home now to care for the little one. We pride ourselves on making your visit memorable; never would willfully want to ruin anyone’s dining experience. Please don’t be dissuaded, this place is adorable! Seriously, an experience that happens to have excellent food, juice and pastries.
