Just like grandma used to make. I’ve eaten at this restaurant for years now, and there’ no place quite like it. A beautiful glassed in patio provides for quaint ambiance as you dine on dishes like Chicken and Dumplings or King Ranch Chicken. And the homemade rolls are to die for.Hint: have a conversation with the older woman in the front room before you dine. She is the owner of the place and her daughters make up the staff. A chat with her ensures you’ll get the best sized portions, and her stories are sure to entertain.
Doggy bag delight!. I’m munching on a doggy bag from Fancy That as I write this review. I had the Sampler: a broccoli quiche, a spinache quiche, King Ranch chicken, potato salad, chicken salad, and pasta salad. Very tasty. Delicious hot, freshly-baked roll. Good food with a beautiful, cozy atmosphere where no two plates match and should stay that way.
Great Food, Service and Atmosphere. Fancy That is a terrific English-style lunch destination. The food is great, the venue is beautiful, and the service is fantastic. I would especially recommend the Chicken & Dumplings, the Roast Beef, and any of the Sandwiches. The buttery, flaky home-made rolls are worth the trip alone. This restaurant is located on Nacodoches road just north of 1604 and Rolling Oaks mall.
