Good stuff. I’ve always been impressed with their catfish, shrimp, and hushpuppies, but they are really skimpy with the cocktail and tartar sauce. C’mon people give your paying customers some condiments, will ya? Still, it’s worth it. Tender, succulent seafood, perfectly breaded.
OUR OPINION. The catfish was average+. Gumbo thin and not enough ingredents.(shrimp etc.). It’s close to our house and good enough to go back. The turn off was the skimpy serving of tarter sauce and upon requesting more they charged 75 cents for another skimpy serving and told us how expensive it was and still not enough to finish our fish. The tarter didn’t have any flavor to boot. If I ever went back I would carry my own tarter. Enjoyed the fish but the issue with the tarter was a major turnoff.
I love catfish, and this place knows how to cook it. Always made fresh when you order – they don’t even have food warmers. Served steaming hot every time! The fries are steakfries, which are not my favorite, but they are ok (also served steaming hot). I have eaten here for about 12 years now, and it is the same cook in the kitchen as the first time I walked on the door. It is great to know I’m going to get a consistent flavor everytime.
I’m not a big catfish fan, but I really liked it!
