Great food and service. I got the El Guero and it’s a ton of food. The kids got enchiladas and tacos and they loved them. Great service and atmosphere. Definitely will return on next visit.
Big Menu, Big Portions, Premium Margaritas. As a veteran Foodservice Pro who once had Mexico as part of my responsibiliies, I was pleasantly surprised that Georgetown had such a good Mexican restaurant. My wife loved the fried(!)stuffed avocado and I liked my Carnitas, so rarely offered in Texas. We love margaritas on the rocks made with Anejo tequilas and they offer many choices. The friendly servers and huge menu keep La Playa packed.Mucho delicioso!
Done with it. I’ve given La Playa four chances, but I always walk out wondering what’s so hard about cooking decent Tex Mex? Every meal I’ve had there has been bland. Even the guacamole was almost tasteless. Sorry. I’m done. Get your Tex Mex at Dos Salsas or El Charrito.
