We have been going to Shanghai Express for at least five years and maybe more. We love it especially on Sunday! We like the buffet on Sunday. They owners are very friendly. It is a nice place to bring our friends. They greet us when we arrive and when we leave. The waiters are very friendly. We recommend Shanghai Express to all our friends.
In this small quaint town of Georgetown theres this restaurant shanghai express which becomes a great accent to this little town, the staff is very friendly and welcoming upon entering. the decor is not one of those you would see at a typical Chinese buffet, which is a relief to be in. But, most importantly the food is just great, everything is organic and delicious, I recommend the good very much so. The only thing is the waiter, he’s an ok dude, just kinda funny looking, seems he’s troubled for some reason, not necessarily a bad waiter just weird. Which doesn’t take away from the great experience one can have at this establishment. Mozeltov!
Not as good as I hoped it would be!. There were details in this establishment that I think could have been cleaner. The plastic holder on the table that has the happy hour insert was sticky. After I touched it I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The light switch in the restroom was dirty. The food was OK. I had Sa Chia Beef. The meat tasted ok but the broccoli looked and tasted like it was not fresh. The temperature of the food was not hot and the dish was described as spicy but it was actually sweet. My companion had lemon chicken. It was with broccoli also. She said her broccoli was fresher. It looked like a frozen, breaded chicken patty that had been warmed in the microwave and then sliced. Some bland lemon sauce was poured over it. The rice, soup, and spring rolls were good. Service was quick and courteous. We decided not to eat there again although I am curious about the Sunday Buffet.
NOT A BUFFET AT LEAST. An o.k. restaurant .Looking for the best not just o.k..Prices are in line, but restaurant a little out of the way.
