I don’t know if he copied it or not but that doesn’t make the food any less good. I’ve been here several times and enjoy it. I live in the area and am not going to drive 1/2 way across the metro to something that doesn’t even come up on the inet as the ‘original’.
This guy just copied his restaurant from the REAL Krispy Catfish on McCart in FtW.. Seriously, check it out, they stole everything from Krispy Catfish, the name, menu items, combos, even prices. Not surprising, i guess, Krispy Catfish is a GREAT restaurant!!

My first time and My last. Worst Catfish I’ve ever had and I’ve had fried catfish my whole life , very thin and frozen until fried and all batter as well as hard as a rock Jumbo shrimp what a laugh they are as big as my big toe, & are 1.99 each , will not be back!!!! save your money and go elsewhere
Good basic fried seafood type of restaurant with catfish (fillet or whole), giant shrimp and more, all made fresh to order.The place inside is also well done, with friendly staff and some outdoor seating.I ordered a combo plate: catfish, shrimp, fries, hush puppies; except for the latter I enjoyed it all.
