Best pulled pork I’ve ever had! Very friendly and quick service. One of the reviews below me seem like it must be a competitor or something because they left the review twice and it’s literally impossible to not be helped at ajs, it just struck me as odd. And most of the time, the BBQ guru AJ, himself is waiting tables. Very wholesome, delicious food. Would recommend to anyone in or visiting grapevine. Awesome little taste of Texas.
Savory and Flavorful. Went here for a birthday celebration and I ordered a sampler plate. I tasted the pork ribs, sausage, pulled pork, and brisket. A side of potato salad topped it off. The meats were all very delicious, moist and flavorful. The optional BBQ was extremely good. The temperature of the meats, however, could have been warmer. My other dinner mates were very pleased with their selections and enjoyed them immensely.The restaurant is small and is a fun place to go. Parking is limited behind the restaurant, however there is a larger ancillary lot behind that. Since Grapevine is emerging as a destination for fun seekers and food devotees, this place is going to catch on. They have a small bar at one end of the place and are well stocked. I think my favorite meat was the sausage. They make their own and it shows–tender, flavorful and not dried out like so many others. These folks really are a great secret and now I don’t have to stand in long lines anymore at Hard 8 BBQ!

Pulled Pork Perfection. A.J.’s pulled pork is some of the best I have ever eaten… and I am a Memphis transplant. Good food, service, people. Definitely on my regularly required dining list!
Loved it!. Had the chopped brisket sandwich, it was great!!! It had a smokey flavor which it should since this is brisket cooked on a smoker! All you people that don’t like the smoke ( Yankees), go home and cook your brisket in the oven!! This is barbecue it is supposed to have a smokey flavor, and the fries were great also.
For the guy who said he waited a half hour… I just would like to point out our restaurant only seats 36. Believe me there is no way he sat in my place for 30 minutes. It just can not happen. For the guy that complained about getting a bun when he asked for bread all I can say if we don’t have it well… We don’t have it… Sorry look at the menu. But thanks for coming. See ya soon.
Small and friendly. Heavy smoke, great ribs, best french fries and fried okra EVER! Friendly service and great prices for BBQ! Will go again….
