So disappointing. Went in for lunch. Food was not good. I basically left food untouched except I ate the mashed potatoes which were just OK. Squash casserole was inedible since it was cold and cheese not melted. Cornbread was dry. I am not a fussy eater but this was somewhere I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Spring Break/Family Vacation. After reading a few of the reviews we decided to be adventurous and try it out. My initial impression was that we were in a bar. The waitress pointed out a separate seating area that was nonsmoking, as we had the kiddos with us. We sat down at a table and I was extremely concerned because it was Saturday at noon and we were the only customers in the huge nonsmoker’s room. The waitress was very nice and seemed attentive at first but several times we had to wait for refills. Shortly after we sat down someone I assume was the owner.. walked through our Non-smoking area with a cigarette in his mouth..thought my hubby was going to go crazy! Anyways..we ordered our food and it came pretty quickly. Me and DTR had the Texas potato and hubby had porkchop. My son had the fried steak. I was shocked when the food came out. Everything looked and tasted fabulous!! Hubbys porkchop was HUGE!! He said the best tasting he has had in awhile. Even asked the waitress why they weren’t busier. Location I guess.. So all in all if you want yummy food and can overlook the bar atmosphere…go for it.
The only descent thing was the brisket and it was dry. Queso out of a can, greasy fried pickles, cheese stix and chips. There was nothing homeade and I would never return for the food. Oh and 1230o, we were the only 2 people in the place…not a good sign.
Good place for lunch. Bbq sliced brisket sandwich is good with tangy sauce. I had a killer spicy bloody Mary as well. Good prices and good service.
Our first time, and last. The service was great, but the food wasn’t that good. The appetizer sampler was really greasy. The bacon on the burgers was so hard that parts of it were inedible. Also, the amount of fries included with a burger was pretty skimpy.
Loved it!. Recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed, tavern atmosphere and GREAT food. We had the Sampler appetizer with fried pickles, cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, chips, salsa & queso. Ordered the Hot & spicey burger & a stuffed baked potato. Both were delish and we plan to visit this restaurant again, next time we’re in Grapevine.
Just Okay. Had their wings and a cheeseburger and fries. Fries were very good. Cheeseburger was also good. The wings just did not tast that good to me. My wife thought thye tasted good but were dry. They actually gave us some more wings which was a nice gesture. My wife was also givena $5 off her next visit. We sat in the bar area and the smoke wasn’t too bad. They also have a separate area for non smokers which was pretty big. The people did a good job trying to make things up to us so Kudos for that.
