  Our adventure around Grapevine during the holidays continued, with a 5:00 reservation at Dinos Steak and CLAW HOUSE!!! First time visitors to this restaurant!Om: I just LOVE the name of this restaurantits the Steak and CLAW HOUSE!!!! I was looking forward to eating here because of all the positive reviews, and I was not disappointed!!Service Exceed Expectations Being a higher end steakhouse, I expected very good service and thats what we got! Our waitress was polite and attentive throughout the evening, knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The Manager came around towards the end of the night and asked how everything was, which was a pretty neat thing to do that will almost always exceed any expectations that I have since its such a rarity for an upscale restaurant.Ambiance Met Expectations Almost Exceeded my expectations, and probably would have if we had some a bit later when the piano player was around! Would also have enjoyed some holiday decorations, would also have also exceeded my expectations! As it was, definitely a beautiful interior two levels of dining, a grand piano, dimly lit, dark wood, a view of the Christmas lights outside everything you would expect from a tradition high end steakhouse.Food Exceed Expectations And did it ever! The starting bread was warm and pretty plain, which I enjoy! Butter had some kind of truffle oil, or vinegar on it unique and ok, but prefer plain butter, which they provided when we asked. Appetizer of filet of beef might be the best appetizer that weve had from a steakhouse, with thin cut pieces of filet on crostini, meat was very tender. As far as the main entre goes, it was the best presentation that Ive seen from a steakhouse! The picture says more than words could say, but it was just very pleasing to the eyes! The steak was right up there with some of the best that Ive had, and I can honestly say that it rivals my cherished Al Biernats steak! High praise! Whipped potatoes and veggies were good, and the side of macaroni and cheese hit the spot. The house made key lime pie was, as the kids say, off the chain, best key lime pie Ive had with a spot on presentation.Overall No doubt Dinos has earned a spot in our top five steakhouses that weve ever been to! Top notch steak, excellent service, cozy atmosphereI can see why this is considered by many to be the best steakhouse in Grapevine! Heck, I think its one of the best steakhouses Ive been to in the DFW area! The best part is that I got to enjoy it with my wonderful beautiful Nom! Time here with your loved one is such a great combination!Nom: What a beautiful restaurant! Its too bad it was so cold outside for me because sitting outside would have been so pretty with all the holiday decorations up! The inside was lovely, but I wish it were decorated inside for Christmas or maybe it was and it was just subtle. Either way it was still beautiful. Our waitress was very helpful and assisted me with my dinner selection! What a great suggestion she made too! I had the pecan encrusted chicken and it was moist and very delicious, it came with a mountain of mashed potatoes that were creamy and very tasty. I also had some steamed zucchini and carrots and since I like carrots it was a good dish for my chicken. I hope next time we go back well be there for the piano player because I love this place with my handsome love!

  Very rude staff! What a disappointment. If the staff were more professional, this may have been a decent restaurant. Will not be returning to this establishment.

  Never again! The lobster w…. Never again! The lobster was the worst I have ever had. Terribly overcooked to the consistency of bubble gum. The medium rare steak we ordered came out well done. I would have told the server but he didn’t come back for 20 minutes. So disappointing. Will not go again.

  I don’t understand the low rating by others. Our service was impeccable, the food was delectable. The lobster bisque was incomparable; rich and velvety. The wine selections were ample and of good quality.

  Great experience and amazing food. I love this place. We had a great dinner and the food was amazing. I had the small filet and it was perfect. Makes me want to always go to places like this with a little more charm than the big box suburban steak houses. They had a piano player playing which was a nice touch.It wasn’t particularly crowded for a Saturday night so I hope they are doing well, because we are definitely putting them in the rotation for nice date nights.

  The waiter brought my husband the wrong side dish, the sauce was to cold and his steak overcooked.We used a groupon deal and were charged an arbitrary 20% gratuity. Which was the equivalent of the money we would have saved. Our waiter told us that it was to make sure he made some money since he only made $2 an hour and the manager blamed the owner (He is the one who pre-sets the register and add the mandatory gratuity when a coupon is used) and told me I was required to pay the gratuity.Never again!

  Great date night. My husband and I went to Dinos for a date night and really liked it. I had the lobster bisque to start and he had the escargot. Both were really good. We agreed that our steaks were the most perfectly cooked we have had and they tasted great. The live piano music was a nice touch and the service was exactly what one would expect from a restaurant in this price range…really great. I highly recommend this place!
