Service was great, good atmosphere. The family and I were looking for a breakfast spot in Grapevine and everywhere was packed out and had long waits. We settled on Jakes and we got seated immediately. Our waitress was very fast and attentive and the food was awesome! Great pancakes and my little girl loved the cheese grits. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Grapevine.
The place has potential to be great. No wings on the menu, which takes away from a sports bar tradition. Also, the bartender tonight has been on her cell phone all of my time here. You have to ask her to step away from the phone to get an order in. Though having easy walking access to the downtown crowd, the place is less than 1/4 full during prime game and dinner hours. That says a lot.
First visit to this location and I find it, like the others, a cool place to meet friends for a drink and a bite to eat. A fun atmosphere, full bar, but still a comfortable place for those that are more interested in a casual, restaurant setting. The food is always good – I had the Bacon and Bleu Cheese, which got somewhat messy, but good nonetheless. The place is clean, festive and inviting and the service was fast and friendly. Very good burgers and fries!!!! They have a lot of different beers and also good breakfast. It’s on the higher side price wise but the burgers are really good.
Oh yeah, when its burger and a beer time-it’s Jake’s time. These guys have been around for decades going head to head with Kellers Burgers in east Dallas. The burgers are big and juicy cooked just right. Not to salty as other burger joints can be. Atmosphere is mor pub than neighborhood hang out. Take the kids in for lunch; take the friends in for kick back and hang out time. The sweet potato fries are pretty darn good!
Awesome hamburgers. Food was hot and fresh. This review is brought to you by a New Orleanian. We know good food.Come hungry and be ready to enjoy. My family had 3 different types of burger and all were tasty.
