I travel a lot for work so I end up eating a lot at the airports. Ok, in general airport food is terrible but Ling and Louie’s is an exception. The food and service is great here, I have stopped by this place to grab a bite even when I am heading straight home after 🙂 I wish they had a branch outside the airport. My favorite dish on their menu is the Evil jungle princess with vegetables and tofu. Everything is fresh and tasty here which is really rare to find at airports. I have been here several times and they are very consistent with the quality of their food.If I land on-time I think I will grab tonight’s dinner from here again. 🙂
Since every flight I have makes a pit stop in Dallas, I cant begin to count the number of times Ive passed by Ling & Louies disappointed because I didnt have along enough layover to try it out. This time was different and I was more than excited to finally try it out. This is probably one of the first, if not my first, visit to an actual sit-down restaurant in the airport.I started with the lemonade Arnold Palmer, which I apparently have the most difficult time pronouncing. It was a nice balance of sweet and tangy, although the sugar rush was a bit much for me to handle.I ordered the miso soup and it was good especially for a cold day. It was full of tofu, seaweed and green onions. My entree was the Mongolian beef with brown rice. Any Mongolian dish is typically served with a sweet ginger garlic sauce. My favorite Mongolian beef is from PF Changs. This dish was a very reasonable size, especially for traveling. The sauce was mild and had a balanced ginger and garlic flavor. It also had a nice sweetness to it without being overwhelming. My server, Haley, was very prompt and friendly. All together I was in and out in about 30mins, which is pretty good considering a sit down restaurant. Since it was at the airport I imagine the servers are more than keen on keeping people on time and on to their next destination. If you find yourself at the DFW airport and have 30 minutes to spare, definitely drop by. goodnomadventures.com
For airport food this is really well done. There is no reason to go to TGIF with this quality of food and service. Our server was platinum level all the way. Loved the interaction. The Kung POW Chicken was very tasty. So were the Pot Stickers. The Banana Spring Roll was fantastic. Try the Kentucky Mule. The bourbon flavor is just right.
Best lace to get both food & beer in DFW!!!
Good food if you get it. …. Good food if you get it.First visit was all good.Next and final visit was a twenty minute wait for two appetizers that never arrived. The place was half full and not busy.
