Cafe Side or Confectionery Side. Napoli’s is physically split in half. The left half is a cafe with full service sit down. The right half is a Gelato & other sweets shop. I visited the sweet shop after the classic movie Grease let out across the street. The floor is heavy wood planks. It’s a great atmosphere. There were tons of people milling around having coffee, shakes, and Gelato. We enjoyed both our flavors. Fun Place on Main Street.
Updated: 2017Unfortunately their growth and expansion has taken its role on what were once really signature plates. The once outstanding chicken Marsala has faded to mediocre. Their prices have increased substantially. No longer recommended.Prior Review:Food here is quite good and the portions are generous. Made from fresh ingredients, Napoli’s hasn’t let me down even after many visits. Our favorite is the Chicken Marsala; it’s our go to that we measure other Italian eateries against. Service can be a little slow but it is worth the wait.
Gelato Luck. I’ve been here a few times in the past but I passed on dessert because I had too much to eat. Everything has always looked great. Napoli’s was down to their last piece of tiramisu and last couple of pieces of various cheesecakes. Since it was a confectionery, dozens of various loose chocolates were displayed in glass cases for purchase singly or by the pound. My eye was on the maple walnut gelato. They had a good sixteen flavors, but the maple won out. A young lady in line complimented me on my taste and I nodded her way and smiled. I had a medium serving and it was about three scoops, two more than I actually needed. A friend of mine had the Andes Mint Chocolate which he approved. This cafe is right downtown in Grapevine on Main. Since this was Mothers Day there was a lot of bustle going on in the area, with people shopping and coming in loaded down with shopping bags to grab a snack. There is plenty of cafe-style seating for your pleasure. I remarked that the bathrooms meant for single occupancy were large enough that I was considering moving in. I’m glad I finally got around to trying Napoli’s gelato this time around. Next time, the tiramisu.
Good kid meal options. Pizza crust is light and tasty. Ten inch size was more than enough for one person. Friendly service. So happy that I didn’t have to even think about pizza from a national chain.
LOVED IT!. I think they must put crack in their food ’cause I can’t stop coming back!! The service is great… and the food is wonderful also. I always get the chicken piccata with a cup of tomato basil soup. It never disappoints!
Bad Service. Save your money. BAD SERVICE, This is the first restaurant review I have ever written, but it is warranted. We went on Saturday night, which was surprisingly not crowded. We were quickly seated near the kitchen window and our drink orders were taken. Tea for me, water for SO. Server brought two waters. While we waited for the tea, and being near the kitchen window, this is where all the wait staff hang out, we got to listen to the staff complain about their lack of tips. Wife ordered an entree which came with a salad, entree came but not the salad. Mentioned the salad and they brought it. So eat the salad meal gets cold, eat the meal then why even have gotten the salad. Food lacked flavor, was really bland. While we ate we got to hear the wait staff talk about their favorite church’s in the area, and belittle those congregations that they did not like. Waited for server to refill drinks and bring a dessert menu, waited again to order dessert while wait the staff talked more. Italian cream cake was like the meal, a basic yellow cake which was supposed to have a cream cheese icing, I think they held out most of the cream cheese. The cake was $6.25 a slice, two boxes of Betty Crocker would have cost less and been just as good. We spent a little over $15pp and we won’t do that at Napoli’s Grapevine again, and you should not either.
Quaint. I LOVE THE GREEK SALADS AND THE LASAGNA! Really great stuff! Main street is just full of goodness.
