There’s more than one bodacious in this town so make sure to go to the LOOP 281 restaurant!! Great service, FABULOUS food. The new burger is the best burger I’ve ever ate, but nothin beats the ribs! Keep up the great work!24 Mar, 2014THE best. Hands down best BBQ with a WONDERFUL and caring staff who aren’t just in it to make a buck. Ribs are huge! Chicken is moist! You won’t regret it.11 Feb, 2014Loop 281 has THE best food, the ribs are HUGE! The turkey’s moist, and recently added burgers!! Recommend 1000%
Wonderfull twist on the chicken sandwhich. Meat and chicken are great, smoked low and slow, no rush job here. Everyone was polite and the place was well kept. I will be back.
Meh. First of all, this is not what you would consider traditional ‘Texas’ bbq. East Texas BBQ is more of an extension of the style from the Southern U.S. (generally more sandwich-based, thicker sauce, and a lot of sides.) With that said, that doesn’t mean the style is bad. There are certainly many good representations of the style, but Bodacious is just not one of them. I grew up eating Bodacious, and I just assumed I didn’t like BBQ. It was only when I went to Carter’s that I discovered this style of BBQ could be tasty. If you want the best BBQ Texas has to offer, I’d suggest looking towards Central Texas (Franklin’s, Louie Mueller, Black’s, etc). If you must try BBQ in Longview, a chopped beef sandwich and a link of Boudain from Carter’s is almost always a great choice.
The Big Dog. Poor quality food to match the high school drop out service.
I have eaten here since I was a kid and it has always had great food and great service. But in the last few months I am shocked by the lack of good. Hell even decent service.. I have heard so many people talk about rude, hateful this staff has become. I’ve witnessed it myself a few times to the point I just walked out. Hey Bodacious customers keep you in buisness stop , keep being hateful and you won’t have any…
Horrible Service. Service is horrible unless you are a certain color….food is nasty. Very poor customer service. EVERYONE AT THE WHOLE PLACE IS RUDE!!!!!!!!!!
Loved the Chicken!!!!. I stopped off at the Bodacious on the Loop hungry for some good ol’ yard bird. I got the 1/2 chicken with tater salad and cole slaw. The chicken was huge! It was packed with lots of flavor. Sauce wasn’t required. The smoke taste was pleasing to my taste buds. The tater salad was Bodacious spot on. My all-time fav for potato salad is what they whip up at Bodacious. I also thought the slaw was very good. All in all a pleasant dining expereince. ~ 3 Stars.
