Pretty Bad. I ordered the moo shoo pork and it was no good. Moo shoo goes inside pancakes. Chinese style pancakes are supposed to be thin, almost to the point of transparency. These pancakes came in the oddest square shape instead of the normal round shape and were not very big. The worst part was how they came all stuck together. There is no point in giving a customer 6 pancakes if they do not come apart from each other without tearing into a million pieces. I managed to divide the 6 pancakes into two useable ones and they were all stale. On top of that, the pork was super chewy. The sauces were so salty I felt like I would need open heart surgery after eating this item. Not good for $25.
Christmas Day dinner. Went to Chen’s Garden for the first time for our Christmas dinner. It was very good, my boyfriend loved the hot and sour soup. The lo mein had lots of veggies in it, and the General Tso’s chicken was tasty. We will be back!
Okay Chinese options in longview are bad but I heard Chen’s had a good buffet. I went in at 9:30- an hour before closing, and I was extremely disappointed. There was barely any food out at all and what was out had visibly been sitting there for a long time. We asked the woman if they could bring more out and she said everything would be refilled in a few minutes. They only refilled the rangoons and a shrimp dish. The food was not very good and the service was terrible. 25 minutes before closing we were almost done and they were already tearing down the restaurant and making a lot of noise which was rude. I will never be back
The only place for Chinese in Longview. Before we moved into East Texas for a few years, we would travel through and try to time our stops to eat at Chen’s. It is a buffet to die for. It’s not all chicken dishes, they often have crab legs. They are always bringing out fresh items to keep the buffet rotated. They have the absolute best hot & sour soup in East Texas. Their lo mein has the perfect amount of veggies in it. The staff is super friendly. The prices are super good for what you get. We don’t live close anymore, but when driving through, we always stop in.
I will never order from chen’s again! Horrible service. Waited over an hour for delivery and just got the run around. Never did receive my food.
Horrible delivery service….. Do not trust them…. The food was not delivered after an hour and a half and they really didn’t care….. I will never order from them again and I live very close to them!!!
Staying at Hampton, ordered food, took 45 min, they forgot my egg rolls. Food=AWESOME! Wish I could have tried the egg rolls.
