We always have a good experience at Kobee. Our food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. I like the layout of the new menu a lot. There are many items that were easy to overlook on the old menu.

This place is nasty! Smells bad as soon as you walk in ! If you like grilled eggs and rice you might like it here. I got seated across from so guy with the flu . He coughed all over the place! The chef wanted to throw food at us . I guess some my like this! If the sick guy had not been there I still would rate this place as bad!

Best hibachi in east texas by far!. I adore sushi and have had both sushi and hibachi in several states and this place has the best hibachi. Their sushi is good(I’m very picky when it comes to sushi tho so don’t let my review make you not get sushi)not the greatest,Shogun’s sushi and selection for sushi is probably better if you go on a weekend(yes the time of the week makes a difference!). But all in all all of Kobee’s food, drinks, staff experience is all very good!!! And I have been there tons of times with big groups, lots of little kids, just me and my husband and we’ve always had great food and a good experience!

The sushi is terrible and they serve spaghetti noodles with bland meat as a noodle bowl. Very expensive and very bad!

WORST IN TOWN!. We had a party of nine and the serving size for each person was VERY small … I could literally count how many vegetables that were served to me. The noodle serving size was equally as poor. I gave my noodles to my buddy since he is a bigger guy than me and I felt bad because I was the one who recommended this place. I ordered scallops, a $19.95 plate, and they were good, however, same song and dance on the portion size. He cut them into quarters to give the illusion of being a larger portion. If you want fried rice with your meal get ready to pay extra ($3.50 per person). For a meal at this price one would think fried rice would be included like all of their competitors in town. The cooking table didn’t have a place to scrape crumbs, rice, egg shells, juices, etc. off of the edge so the cook had to just scrape it into the corner of the cook surface right in front of me, it was very appetizing I must say! Nothing better than watching someone scrape all of the slop onto the same spatula they are cooking your meal with, drip it across the floor, and dump it into a bowl that sits right next to your uncooked meat! Yummy!

Not impressed. Me and fiance came here to try to find a hibachi restraunt in the area (since we are moving here). First when we arrived we were greated and seated. We loved how they started serving us the soup at the hibachi table and taking orders immediately. The soup my fiance loved (I thought it tasted like the Ramen noodle broth – but it was good). Afterwares we received our appetizers while they seated another party at the table with us. This is no fault of the restraunt but I wish they hadn’t set them net to me (old man started talking about biting and being friendly). Later they took our orders and gave out the salad….I have never been so offendered the old man took the fork off my plate when he thought i wasn’t looking and began using it….not the restraunts fault but wow. The hibachi chef came out…was a white guy but we loved how he used it for the jokes and was upbeat. As the dinner progressed the food was served, rice- good, noodles-good, vegetables-good. The chicken had been on the grill the whole time and we were starting to worry about it being overdone…but continued to watch. the red meat, lobster, and shrimp continued- all good. The chef noticed he was a steak short and asked for another-we thought maybe he burned my chicken so upgraded-but continued to watch. Well dinner finishes , hibachi grill cleaned then he finishes the chicken. Wasn’t till he was at the end that he tells me they FORGOT the chicken and it wa for the old man (ordered a lobster chicken dish)….wow so I got no chicken and they still insisted on charging for the vegetables…..In the end this was one miserable restraunt. Fork stolen, dinnr forgotten and still charged for the side. WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK. This restraunt was terrible in making up the forgotten dinner and not realizing I had nothing in the begining. (all i ordered was the chicken). Very upset!24 Jan, 2012Wated money :-(. I went in thinking it will be a nice fun place. When I walk in the hostess and waitress are jusst talking (i understand that maybe the waitress was needing a breather)…but they looked connfused when i stood there waiting ot be seated then finally i said table for 1. I got seated and it was nice (had to change sides since guy behind me kept joltinng back and i could feel it). Waiter came quickly got my drink order and was very nice/friendly and answered questions i had about if shrimp was on the sashimi plate and if so will be replaced (I wont have shrimp on any dish i eat). The appetizer/side came in reasonable time- they were noodles- and tasted okay no problems. It had a nice glaze on it (little4 too saucey but can see how most will like it). After a while my sashimi finally came. No biggie because i was sitting there relaxing and drinking my wine. FInally the plate came….right in the middle was shrimp. so i put it on an extra dish on the table and kinda poke at the items. I asked the waiter if I could have two other pieces of fish since i specifically asked no shrimp and was assured but he just stood there confused then walked off (figured he would bring me the fish in a bit but replacements never came). I try the salmon, tuna, imposter crab, and egg….they were okay (not fantastic). the salmon tasted not so fresh but wouldn’t kill me. The mackrel was there not at all my favorite due to the strong taste but I try it anyway…Right away I spit it into a napkin..tasted way to pungent for me and made me feel ill. I ate half the ginger and little wine and water to get the tast out of my mouth. and try the salmon and notice the edge looks a little brown and discolored….this can’t be good but i eat it anyway…the piece of salmon tasted bad and i had some plastic film or something i took out of my mouth…..after the bad salmon i couldn’t eat anymore…whole dish a waste of money. Sorry but I did not find the fish to be at all fresh and the noiisey kids that were on the other side of the wall towardss the end of the meal were not help….but the water was nice.24 Jan, 2012Wasted money :(. Me and my fiance had actually gone to shoguns but there were so many kids, we left! We decided to come to kobees and so glad we did! I was pleasantly surprised. I never do reviews but had to share how wonderful this place is! Great sushi, great entrees, great service. You don’t have to sit in the grill area, you can sit in a private booth without having to deal with the hibachi chefs or strangers. We are definitely making this a regular place we visit!
