The Plaid Turtle Hillsboro - Skip's Irish Pub is a family-friendly pub offering a delicious full food menu as well as over 40 craft and imported beers, hard ciders, wine and mead. Owners Skip and Erin Smith have made a point to make this a welcoming place to socialize and spend time while in Hillsboro. The pub is a popular destination for both locals and travelers on the I-35 Corridor, with LIVE MUSIC on Friday evenings and family-oriented events throughout the week. In addition to games on every table, there are five TVs for watching sporting events, plus monthly Beer Schools, weekly Bible study, BUNCO Nights, Ladies Nights Out, and more. The pub is open for lunch two days a week - Thursdays and Fridays, and open five days a week for dinner and drinks. We encourage diners to come stay a while, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. We offer take out and can do catering. And while we are serious about our beers, the pub also welcomes you to bring the kids!
