Color This Delicious. If you are looking for good Tex Mex food, look no further than Taco H. They have been in Grapevine for as long as I can remember and I have always enjoyed my burritos there. I have not had their tacos (because I can’t get past their burritos) but I would imagine that they are excellent as well. My friends seem to order the tacos exclusively. Their shop in Irving has been open for a couple of months now and I was able to finally try them. They have a taco bar with a variety of salsas, with different textures, ranges of heat and flavors. Help yourself to tortilla chips which are under a heat lamp. I did not see serving tongs so I resorted to scooping up the chips with the little paper box. My friend reminded that they lacked tongs. Maybe this is the way they do it here, but I didn’t want to even think of someone scooping them up with their hands.Other than that, the place is a lot like the one in Grapevine with decorations leaning toward the Mexican wrestling theme. They have the aguas frescas: lemonade, horchata and my favorite, the tamarind drink which I always gravitate to. They usually have a Facebook special on their tacos or burritos. The current one was a $5.00 price tag on ANY burrito. That meant my $7.50 shrimp burrito was $5.00. It was very good, not real spicy like their al pastor, barbacoa, or carne asada, but I compensated for that with some of their spicy salsas and pico de gallo. If you are ordering to go, just walk up and order at the counter. Otherwise this TACO H has sit-down service. Order from the menu and the food is served to you with refills on most drinks. Taco H is a winner in my book.
