After moving back from the Sichuan province of China, I was dying to find a place that had proper Sichuan flavour. I ordered the chicken dry pot and was so excited that the oil used tasted EXACTLY like the Sichuan hot pot oil I love so much. As far as service goes, it is operated like a typical Chinese restaurant in China – Call them when your ready.
Waited 40 minutes for a take out order that was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes. The cashier was unhelpful with finding out if the food was ready, which made it all the worse. The food was not as good as other restaurants in Austin. The long wait with the low quality food was a turn off. My advice: Go to another restaurant.
The food here is terrible. 1/2 of my chicken was completely uncooked, and the smell alone kept me from wanting to eat. I would feel guilty giving it to a homeless person. Seriously wish they would close so something else could take the location.
Horrible food long wait. We went to the restaurant with high hopes. Wow what a disappointment. What was paid for was not delivered. My friend has allergies to MSG and it was in the food. The place ran out of silverware. Customers getting there own ice for drinks, god only know’s weather there hands are clean. Took over 1 hour to get the lousy food. Paid for two dinners only got one.Went and spoke to the person we paid she gave me cash instead of correcting the credit card charge. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME GROSS FOOD LOUSY SERVICE.
Good but not great. The food here is not bad, but it is not the greatest I have ever had either. The hot and sour soup has a great broth, and soem decent ingredients but the tofu was not very deftly handled and there weree ver few mushrooms in it. The steamed/boiled dumplings were very disapointing. The filling was great actually, but the wrapping was far too thick and gummy and the dipping sauce very underwhelming. For the entre I had the mongolian beef, and my date had the sessame chicken, so neither of us chose to go too crazy with our orders. The technical handling of all of the ingredients was great and the beef in particular was very nicely cooked as well as all vegies being perfectly handled and cooked. Those positives being said, the seasoning and sauces while not bad were not anything especially memorable either. In the final analasys I would say that it is a restaraunt I would come back to, and would like to try some of the more off-the-wall dishes. However, it is not among the best restaraunts in town either, and I have had better asian food.
Decent. The food is pretty good here. Nice heat with the spicy dishes and good flavors in the milder ones; however, the food can be hit or miss depending on who’s cooking in the kitchen I guess. Generally, it’s decent. Rather, passable. Could use more refining.
This place is AWFUL. Last Friday night my family and I decided to order some Chinese for delivery. We always try different restaurants and I received a menu on my door so I wanted to check it out. I ordered some sesame chicken, kung pao chicken, and shrimp fried rice, and sweet Jesus this place is awful. The food came 20 minutes late and after the rude delivery guy gave me my food I opened it up only to find it was room temperature. Disgusting. I tried some of it before I threw it in the trash and I don’t even think it was cooked all the way. The sesame chicken was cold, the kung pao chicken was salty AND cold, and the shrimp fried rice tasted like baking soda. I didn’t even want them to eat it, so we got Papa Johns instead. Stay away from this restaurant, just thinking about it makes me want to puke.
