Great beer selection and free wifi makes this a great place to get some work done. Food is also good and reasonably priced. A neighborhood gem.…

This place may be OK for a beer. But I don't recommend lunch. Food is worse than mediocre, loud 80's jams playing, and dirt in multiple water glasses.…

One of my favorite Austin places. Their BBQ pizza is straight outta heaven and their beer selection is phenomenal.
Very worldly beer selection. Imports are overpriced, as usual. Friendly staff, although we got the feeling that we were being pushed out after we’d payed. Waistresses are knowledgable about stock and willing to make suggestions, though. Biggest downers for me were the obvious lack of freshness in most of the food we ordered. Our main courses were frozen and although the salad was fresh, it consisted solely of iceberg lettuce and tomato slices which was bland. I’d rather go to jolleyvill bar and grill down the street
Local dive bar with a lot of beers avaliable. They don’t have a happy hour, but prices are average. The food is nothing to write home about, but not bad.
Local hangout. This place is a dive, really, but they have a loyal clientele for a reason. They always have a huge variety of beers with constantly rotating seasonals. I don’t know of another place that keeps more than one blueberry beer in stock! They also get to know their customers. The food is simple, but good. Try the shepherd’s pie!
Okay, something needs to be said up front. Don’t go to Rovers when you’re starving. The food service is slow at times. And even though the food is good it is not the main reason to go. You go for the selection of 270+ beers (300+ depending on the seasonals). The staff are actually encouraged to try as many of the beers as they can and many of them are good at recommending new beers based on what you already like. One last thing, if you’re a college student that likes wild places and drinks primarily Miller/bud Lite, Rovers is not for you.
Boo…. I saw the ratings and went in with high expectations of trying something decent and came out terribly disappointed. They were not busy but the wait was long, the orders were wrong, and the food was medicore at best. This review is to alert those that may be fooled by the initial ratings and reviews: Take caution, if you drink enough you may be satisfied with your meal.
What more can you ask for?. Don’t get me wrong, the food here is really bad for you. It is grease filled and calorie packed and tasty! The service is slow if you have more than 4 people in your party, but your order is never wrong. AND… they have the best beer selection in town along with a staff that knows there stuff! I highly recommend weekend brunch. It is super cheap, not as packed as Kirby and a great place to get together with friends!
