Amazing food! Had a couple issues with the seating and one order but the staff made it right and compensated us! Definitely a must visit!!
Horrible hostess! We are in town for a conference and tried to call ahead for lunch time seating. They very rudely said no. When we arrived, the hostess was more concerned about decorating with markers than listening to us. Too many choices to have to settle for this .
Good food, crappy beer. The food here is good…pretty much your standard tex-mex fare. I like the bean and cheese burrito with the green hatch chile sauce. The burritos are touted as being ‘as big as yo face’, and they are big, but I’m a small gal and could definitely put one down. My favorite thing about Chuy’s are the chips and salsa. Go for the Salsa fresca if you want a spicier salsa (not super spicy, just has a nice heat to it-tastes like it has serranos in it). The ‘table salsa’ is pretty ‘meh’. The chips are really thin and crispy (which is a huge plus in my opinion). Definitely get a side of the creamy jalapeno sauce (basically a slightly spicy ranch…because of course you need something rich and fattening to dip your fried chips in!) Obviously this place is a chain, but whatever, the food is good and not expensive. My one beef with Chuy’s is their terrible beer selection…it’s seriously bad (unless you’re a fan of domestic beers-in that case you’re in luck!) They have a nice, large outdoor patio, and I would probably stop by to just eat chips and salsa and have a few beers (but as I said the beers are not to my liking…at all.) The carryout is good as well, and there is a local delivery place that will deliver Chuy’s food if you’re lazy like me!)
Love that hatch chili sauce on the big burritto
The boom boom sauce is great on anything. Love their happy hour nacho bar, and cheap drinks. I tend to stay away from their fried dishes… Not sure what kind of grease they use, but it always makes me sick!
I just don’t get it. Food is ok. I love the Tshirts.Friends all love the place. During the green chile fest, I do like to go and check out some of the new ideas.
Chaotic. I love Chuy’s. Been going there for years. The food is fantastic. However….This location is crazy. Try finding a parking place. It is so crowded all of the time, and when you DO get a table, it is so tight that people are always bumping into you. Also, don’t try and hold a conversation with your table-mates. You can’t hear yourself think. The location on North Lamar is MUCH better. We avoid the 183 location at all costs.
