Ordered three things: Fish Special, Shrimp and Lobster Sauce, and a small Wonton Soup.Wonton Soup broth had good and thick flavor but the wonton itself was mostly dumpliing, very little meat, not nearly as good as some of the other places in town.Fish Special was a Sichuan style dish. Wife says it is another regional food, Shinzen maybe, but it had Sichuan peppers. It was good, very authentic. Very spicy and oily. Comes with lotus root, which I particularly like. My Shrimp and Lobster sauce was no good. The sauce was incredibly thick but decent flavor. Shrimp were okay, unseasoned, and there were little to no vegetables (another actual Chinese way of preparing and serving the dish, actually).Biggest issue was that the service was non existent and I waited over an hour to get my dish, my wife 45 minutes for hers.
Next time the line’s out the door at Asia Cafe next door, give Dynasty a try. You’ll enjoy the food, and still have time to make the evening’s event.
The food is very tasty and it’s not as cheap as this other Chinese restaurant names Happy Buddha which closed down but it’s not too expensive either and it has a very nice atmosphere. Great for quality time together with tasty food.
