GREAT tepanyaki!!!. Our family went to KOBE for the first time a few days ago on the recommendation of some friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I ordered the teriyaki chicken which was absolutely delicious and the chef was super nice and actually very funny. The only downside was that service was a little slow and we had to flag down the hostess for our check. Looking around it seemed only a couple of waiters were working so maybe they were shortstaffed? Overall dinner was great and we’ll definitely be returning, but hopefully they’re a little better staffed the next time we come in.
I went in there on a whim one day not expecting anything special for lunch. They have $5.95 steak during lunch. Wow. Mind you it is top sirloin but for $5.95, you can’t beat it. It was served with soup, steamed rice and veggies. Great lunch. I went in again for dinner with my wife and ordered their new york steak and the wife order the dynamite salmon. The portions are literally double the lunch portions and you get a show. A little pricier than lunch but any good reataurant will cost you $50-$60 for two. We had a great time during dinner. The only downside was that we had to sit with atrangers
Went here last night for dinner and had a great experience! Cook was entertaining and waitress was very attentive. A little too noisy, made the cook/waitress hard to understand at times, but nothing too bad. Food is a little pricey, but meals are portioned accordingly. very good food, will be back next time I’m in Austin!
Bring ear plugs. Go to this place if you are aching for a headache. The back dining area is crammed full of cooking stations and screaming children in a very sma;; space. It is so noisy the food stuck in my throat. If the chefs clanged those knives one more time on that grill I thought my head was going to split open.Undercooked vegtables, over cooked fish and meat. Their idea of seasoning is some flaming hot spicy red sauce that kills every taste bud in your mouth. It is so noisy that you cannot hear the cook speak to you and you cannot communicate to them except with sign language.I will say the hurricane drinks are very good but expensive. The food is very expensive for what you get. I was never happier leaving a resturant that I was last night when we left. Waitstaff had too many tables to cover so you were left with empty tea and water glasses.Now if you want entertinment that consist of flashes of fire and heat, and lots of knife clanging and banging and lots of background ambient noise, and you don’t mind ear splitting noise, and you don’t mind sitting at the same table with people you have never seen in your life before and probably never will again then this is the place for you. Otherwise don’t go and say you did.
We dropped 95 on dinner for three and a half. Had leftovers for take home. Major problem was we couldn’t tell what we ordered vs what our neighbors ordered. It was made more confusing by the act put on by our chef which was pretty good ill admit.. We probably won’t be going back because of the cost for the quality – not quantity – of food.
Kobe beef is worth every penny! This was possibly the best meal we have ever had if not the best one of the absolute best! Staff (Mike) was amazing and chef ROCKED (chef Chepo)!!!!!!!
