Depends what time a day you and who takes your order as to how good the food comes out. It was a long time favorite for our family.Then quality started tohurt a little and then the service was unacceptable the last visit. We won’t be back for a while if at all.
I am a huge fan of La Tapatia. Specifically the location at 183 & Anderson Mill. I most frequently go there for breakfast. The food is great, the service is friendly and the price is very reasonable.
What Happened?!!! New cook? New manager?!!!. Do not rely on the menu link. The Anderson Mill location no longer has Chile Relleno or Queso Compuesto or any Camarones. They do offer tilapia. I did not ask about Gorditas. I haven’t eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner hear at least 1x every 3months…They used to offer Chile Relleno, Compuesto and Camarones.Friend & I had to settle for Carne Guisada and Al Pastor Combo Plate and Steak Fajita Quesadillo.Queso was Velveeta and canned tomatoes, not Rotel- no spice at allAl Pastor, Guisada and Fajita – dominant flavor-SALT. Al pastor, not even the slightest hint of pineapple. Fajita, chopped into tiny, greasy, salty pieces. The beans and rice were acceptable and less salty then the meat. The salsa fresca is still passable and the jalapeno salsa verde is still deliciously flavorful and hot

Food is delicious and cheap. Not high brow, but hot and tasty. Feels a little like it should be in an artie film.
