The worst service that I ever experienced in Austin restaurant. I went to Mung Thai place on Sunday evening. The place was half empty and we go the table immediately. And that is roughly where it ended. Nobody came and offered us water or drinks. 5, 10, 15+ minutes and our table was ignored by several waiters/waitresses that worked there. Finally a waiter arrived. I do not think I have inflated standards if I prefer that people that serve me food do not look and behave like they spent last night binge drinking and they are ANNOYED my presence. The waiter did not bother to ask us about drinks, did not bother to tell us about the menu, was answering question in a mumbling voice under his nose and without any effort whatsoever. He took the orders and disappear. After 5mins – still without water or drinks he showed up to inform us that kitchen accepted our order. At that point I had enough and told him what I thought about service at Mung Thai and his attitude. He just shrugged and left. Dunno – maybe you will have better luck – to me it was a new level of rudeness when it comes to serving food.

Excellent food, inconsistent service. Service is hit and miss here, from excellent to ‘barely OK’, but it’s never been horrible in my experience. The usual problem is varying levels of lateness and inattentiveness for no apparent reason. However, the food is excellent and worth the occasional lapse in service.

Great Thai Food. My favorite restaurant. Consistent, authentic Mom and Pop Thai restaurant. Pleasant staff with owners knowing many of the customers. Great Coconut soup and the best Pad Kra Pao I’ve ever had. Reasonable prices and wine and beer served. I need my Thai fix about once a week and this does it for me. Recommended to many friends and they all love it too.

Yummy curry. After moving to North Austin I needed to get a Thai Food fix, This location is in a pretty unassuming shopping center. The service is not fast- I am sure they spend all their time making the delicious curries they produce. I love their Pad Won Sen, and I could drink their Gang Garee and Gang Masaman. Their curry has an awesome flavor profile and isn’t too bad on the wallet either. If you still have room their fried ice cream is quite yummy. They value their customers.

Poor Service. Food was good, Service was very slow and was not professional.Slow, came to check on our table after we finished our food, never refilled waters.Forgot our Tea, and to remind the waitress to get our tea while she was just walking around like she had nothing to do. They need a soda machine so they can do free refills with soda. Soda is a $1.50 per can and no refills.

Horrible service! Yummy food though. Went there for Sunday dinner just me and my little family. My toddlers were hungry so we ordered for them firsy along with the drink order. The waiter took awhile to get our drinks and it wasn’t even busy. Then we finally get our orders in…. waited 55 minutes to an HOUR for our appetizers, not to mention my children’s food wasn’t even there yet either… my husband waved at the waitresses and our waiter but they looked the other way… then one by one the said sorry sorry sorry its the kitchens fault. Finally the food came after all that we decided to feed our hungry children and just take ours to go because it was getting close to their sleep time…. Not to mention our waiter did not check up on us…so my husband stood up to go get togo boxes and AGAIN they look the other way .. never comig back to this place ever again. Rude. Go somewhere else like Thai Cuisine
