Oysters were mushy even after they brought the second batch, catfish tasteless, service slow and unfriendly! Wait staff was more interested in soccer game on TV than waiting on customers. Will not return, waste of money!!
Crawfish and beer…. Don’t go for the atmosphere, or the service…However, the crawfish pierogi was FANTASTIC!!! Heaping mound of crawfish tails, with plenty of cheese and perfectly toasted bread. One also can’t go wrong with $2.50 draft Shiner (non-happy hour price).
Friendly atmosphere, extremely superficial service, tasteless catfish. Will not return.02 Jan, 2013Friendly staff, tasteless food. Never going back. 🙁
Tasteless catfish 🙁 very disappointing experience.
GREAT FOOD! GREAT SERVICE! AUSTIN LOCATION. As soon as we were seated, our waiter greeted us and took our drink order. When he brought our drinks, he took our food order and brought our appetizers out promptly. We had raw oysters that they shuck at the time of ordering, a shrimp-oyster cocktail, and gumbo. All were delish! The fried shrimp and the flounder filet with crab and shrimp in a burgundy sauce were heavenly. We’ve never gotten anything bad there! They do get busy on weekends and you might have to wait, but it is worth it!
Thumbs up for poor service, bland gumbo. After reading the reviews here, I had to try the gumbo. There’s more flavor in my dishwater than was in that bowl of ‘gumbo’. The service, although lacking in communication, did not leave us waiting for anything. The oysters were so full of sand & shells, even fetching them with a fork left grit in your mouth. Don’t bother trying to slurp them, it’s like falling down at the beach with your mouth wide open. Yet after all that, I’m giving them a thumbs up because I will return to endure that again to have oysters that fresh at that price.
Richie. My wife and love to dine at the Jollyville location. The whole catfish is my wifes favorite in town,I can’t get enough of there lightly breaded large shrimp.
