Just ate here on or way from Oklahoma City to Corpus. A little out of our way, but worth it!! The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive. We loved it!
DISAPPOINTED!!!. Disappointed in our first visit:1. Service! was Very slow…must say they were pleasant! 2. quantity and quality of Food! specially vegetarian!3. Asked, if they can warm up the Pita for us…server answered us…Flat NO…we were told, we need to order extra pita and we can warm it up for you…wow that was hard to believe! I guess they don’t believe in customer satisfaction!
Should have tried it sooner. I have lived within a few miles of Shandeez for the past 5 years and have never stopped in for dinner….We finally tried it the other day, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It seemed to have a variety of choices, so I decided to brave it. I had a gyro because I wasn’t sure if I would like anything else, and my boyfriend had the chicken kabob. I loved my gyro, but Todd’s kabob meal was delicious! I wish I would have been feeling adventurous that day so I could have tried something else. The service was quick and friendly, and he had great recommendations from the menu. We will definitely go back!
Shockingly good!. I use ‘shock’ bec quite honestly, we were! Strip mall all the way out on Anderson Mill… we did not have much hope. However, we found them to be better that most Persian places in town. We were there with our kids, so we ordered pretty standard fare – yogurt w/ cucumber + naan for starters, and a couple of orders of chicken and beef shish kebabs, rice, grilled tomoatos and a gyro to split Everything was excellent – perfectly seasoned and tender. I agree with the other reviewer that the decor is pretty basic so don’t go expecting ambiance. But it is quiet (though a half dozen tables were filled throughout our time there), our kids had a bit of the run of the place and a fair sized, well stocked fish tank to keep them entertained 🙂 Service was excellent – courteous and fast. We will definitely be returning!
Excellent food and service!. Had Shandeez with my boyfriend for the first time last night. The place is pretty small, but our server was attentive and extremely friendly. We order kabobs and the lamb shank. Both were delicious, the rice is outstanding and flavorful. We ordered an extra side of Naan, which isn’t really worth it since they bring it to you for free. Prices are a little high, but for the food, flavor, and quality it is worth it. We will be going back for sure!
Good persian food for North Austin. I tried the Koobideh with rice. It was very tasty. The rice was good, but not great. I think next time I’ll get it with Naan instead. Prices are pretty reasonable. Restaurant was extremely clean. Decor is pretty typical strip mall restaurant, but who cares? The food was good.
