We stopped here for lunch before heading to Galveston to board our cruise ship. It is located in a marina right off the road. I had the shrimp lunch special and it was very good but there wasn’t much shrimp. About 6 pieces and they were small. Others had the gator and fish taco’s which were much better. That’s what I would get if we come back. Great fast service.
Food had good seasoning but grease tasted really old . Walter the waiter was the bomb so he made up for the oily food. Want be the first place I stop when leaving Houston again.
New I-10 location: Service was alright but that was the only thing that was decent about this place. Husbands steak sandwich was as tough as boot leather with no seasoning at all. The fried mushrooms were fresh but served raw inside. The grilled fish had no seasoning and was over cooked, and we needed a steak knife to cut broccoli. Also both the ranch dressing and tartar sauce were hot not warm but hot. Waste of money and time. Needless to say we went to James coney island after wasting $60 on 2 people!
Waste of $$$. Tried the new Swamp Shack located off I-10 East. Complete disappointment with service and crawfish if you can even call them that were horrible. Most were squished and in pieces, so in the 5lbs that we ordered we probably actually ate 1/2lb of tiny crawfish. And the price was ridiculous. Will never return to that place again.
Aweful. Worst place to eat in the bay area. The food at the various farmers markets on Saturday is better. Service was nonexistent, the staff was more interested in each other than the patrons. I felt sad for this place. They have no pride at all.
Great food with live local music! Try the crawfish & crab legs!
