Good stuff. Bread pudding was almost as good as mine
Got to try the Boudain Balls. I love the boudain balls here. You get 4 and they are plenty big to split between 2 people. The chicken fried steak is really good. The BBQ is ok. I prefer other places for that. I have tried a few other menu items and all were good. Definitely recommend if you are in Kemah.
Armadillo Eggs outstanding. We eat here often. service tonight was excellent. atmosphere is always great.
OK, nothing great. Enjoyed the armadillo eggs. Chicken fried steak was barely average. Service was good. Onion rings were not homemade and definitely earn a grade of F. I doubt that we will go back. I don’t see what all the fuss is about.
Hit or Miss. We’ve eaten at T-Bone Toms several times and we find it to be a hit or miss type of situation. Last night was the worst though. I requested green onions for my baked potato and the ones they brought out were rotten and slimy. I sent them back and they apologized and said they threw out the entire box and are cutting fresh ones. Then while I was eating my steak finger basket a part of the meat tasted sour to me, which is very odd for meat. Lastly, we packed up our leftovers and when my husband went to eat it today, he found a worm in the corn. I called and spoke with the manager and they had a reason/explanation for everything that had happened but didn’t seem too concerned.
Decent food with a lot of hype. Not a bad place for a decent meal, but I think this restaurant may be over hyped. Quaint, comfortable atmosphere. Main entrees (steaks, pork chops, etc.) are really good. Side dishes are mediocre. Desserts are huge and tasty. I think the prices are fair. Very personable servers. Good option when in Kemah; but not sure how the restaurant would fare in a different location and less hype.
Hole in the wall with good atmosphere. Food is pricey. Chicken fried steak and armadillo eggs were very good. Pass on the ribs. They smoke them without taking off the membrane. Still worth the trip.
