We each got a basket of fried pickles and they are what cause us to give the food here a +3. Now, the burgers were very good too but man, the fried pickles with ranch! These pickles were the long quarter slice type with a perfect golden breading crunch to pickle ratio……We got a mushroom and a buffalo burger with fried egg. The meat in each was delicious and only limited by the okay bread. It is our conclusion after eating many a burger that the bread is probably the greatest limiting factor of a burger. Anyway, food very good here.Atmosphere is awesome in the newer bar room or outdoor area. The bar area has more wall space covered by TV than by paneling. I counted at least 6 different sports channels each on at least 2 TV’s all over. The outdoor area was nice too with misters and of course there is the old part too.Price was good and under $15.They had fountain Diet Dr PepperService was just typical and okay. We will definitely be back sometime for some of our long lost fried pickles!
Food subpar, service worse. It was a long wait to get my food . When it finally arrived the person that brought my food didn’t say a word or acknowledge me in anyway. She just put the food on my table turned and walked away. The fries were cold and undercooked. The buffalo burger was oaky, but not worth what you pay for it. I think I will stick to Whataburger for my burger fix from now on.
Kilgore Tradition. From our days years ago at Kilgore College to now, eating with our friend’s The M’s, we like this place.Good burger each time, esp with a fried egg.Nice to have appetizers.Most things are good here and some are great.Love the fried pickles too.
Stick to the burgers, fries and beans. Everything else is frozen food, out of a box.
Awesome place. This is mine and my husbands restaurant and this is not our menu. It is the right address and picture of the building but not at all our menu. These comments are old and a lot has been done to improve the food and we have added a beautiful outside patio with live music. Come try it again.
Give 3 out of 5. Food was descent but nothing special. For a burger and fries your spending right about $10 before a drink and tip. IMO too pricey for a burger joint. I probably won’t be back
