The food is always hot, fresh, and cooked when ordered. My coworkers and I enjoy calling in our orders with the approximate arrival time for our hot and ready lunches. The service is great as well as the friendly conversations (sports usually!!) Catfish is a favorite item we usually order. Enjoy the great foods when you visit! We wish the space to sit and stay was larger other than that no complaints.
Prejudice Doesn’t Make Great Food. I ate here last month with my husband and son. We were visiting Fort Hood at the time. I have never had such an experience before in my life. Horrible is too kind a word. I typically enjoy hole in the wall restaurants; they have the best food. Here, however, was not the case. First, we were passive aggressively refused service for an hour and a half until a manager finally requested that our order be prepared. Then, as they begrudgingly began prepping the food, my husband witnessed them taking a whole catfish (I had ordered filets) directly from the freezer and putting it in the fryer. Suffice to say, the food was not good, and the prejudice made it taste all the worse. If this is how one runs a business, don’t expect customers to return, even if they aren’t your desired clientele.
