Best Subs I’ve ever had in Texas. Best subs I have had in Texas. When I was stationed at Ft Hood from 00-05 I would go see Bobby at least 3 times a week. I introduced so many people to his spot as well. Small spot but it had a lot of history and humor on the wall. The self portrait was GREAT!!! Fresh baked bread daily. Great cuts of meat and fresh veggies. I tried every sandwich on the menu in my first year. Best slice of pizza in Killeen as well. He made a good gyro as well. Thanks for great memories Bobby!
Talked to the guy a lil bit ago. He said he had gout in his knee, when I found out he was a new yorker we bsd a lil while. he said he was trying to reopen but he needs to hire someone to help him bake bread.. I hope we see him again I dont want to have to drive all the way to temple for a non oscar meyer lunchmeat made subway style crap sandwich thats so typical in this town..
I think he’s dead or something……. I read reviews on Ferrari’s and have been wanting to try them for a couple of months now. I haven’t seen him open even once. There’s a black Cadillac parked there that doesn’t seem to have been moved the entire time. I doubt he went on vacation for this long and if he’s in the hospital most people would be willing to hire help to keep their business running.I think that someone should really go and check on him…….
Great Sub. Like the other reviewers said, slow service, but, one of the best sandwiches I ever had, Chicago Pot Roast Sub was excellant, atmosphere is not for the faint of heart, alot of politically incorrectness on the walls, if you don’t like that don’t go, but if you love a great sandwich, GO!!!!!!!
Outstanding. Best authentic deli in town. This is the perfect example of capitalism at work. Great food, fair price, and the owner doesn’t roll over for political correctness.
Good Food, Low brow humor. Great Tasting food, not for health nuts or liberal democrats. Their patronage is not requested. Come in expecting great taste, slow service if there’s a couple people, and spend a good 20 minutes looking at the humor on the walls.
Best sandwiches in Killeen. Best sandwiches in town. Cash only. Step up and be ready to order if you go. Pizza is great, too.
