Golden Corral – Killeen. While visiting a relative over the weekend, we ate breakfast at Golden Corral. Unsure why there are so many negative reviews for this location. I mean, it is a Golden Corral, so you should not expect a four-star gourmet restaurant. You can rely on a huge buffet of greasy/unhealthy foods that are somehow sinfully comforting with indulgence. Expect to waddle out all fat and happy. It is oddly satisfying to burp up bacon most of the afternoon. Zantac, anyone?Service was actually good, with our coffee cups never getting to the bottom without a refill showing up. My partner has a weakness for Golden Corral in general for lunch and dinner, while I actually enjoy their breakfast nirvana. The scrambled eggs here are very good, yet the bacon was a tad bit more greasy than I like. I just sopped it up with some napkins and kept going. Hey, I can eat off my diet every now and then.The weekend breakfast buffet here is apparently quite popular with just about every demographic. Yes, there are too many children running loose, but that is simply bad parenting and not the fault of this restaurant. As for the price, it is actually quite reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet. From the number of somewhat rotund diners I noticed over-grazing, I would think they were getting their money’s worth. Golden Corral is probably a bargain, overall.

The only reason I go here is when I want a salad bar that has a good variety. Thank god the fat people skip it and fight over the pizza. dont bother hoping for fresh baked bread either it’s never there. Dessert? ha ha ha dream on. Somebody tell me when this place is quiets ill get my 15 buck salad and go home
