Sorry to say, the food was only alright. Service was fast although assembly line style. Tried the peach cobbler and it was like wallpaper paste, I’ve made better camping with Boy Scouts armed with yellow cake mix & 7up.
The atmosphere was great and everyone was super friendly, our rib plate was not so great. Very dry and tough. The sides were great, but they must have been having an off day on their ribs.
Barbecue done right. Local restaurant with real ingredients. Best family restaurant in town and their brisket is the best in Texas!

Great brisket and ribs. Also, the turkey is the best that I’ve ever had. They have a limited selection of side items on any given day, but the ones they do offer are their specialties and are super. Some examples: broccoli casserole, sweet potato casserole. They have live music on some Friday’s, both an indoor section and outdoor patio with ceiling fans, and a kids playground. It’s a very family oriented place. Don’t be turned off by the appearance from the outside- it looks like a shack that’s been added on to several times… This is the place I bring out of state friends to eat at when they ask for real TX barbecue.
Hands down my favorite BBQ! The playground is a wonderful bonus! Love this place.
