Bring back the lunch buffet!. I have enjoyed the lunch buffet 1-3 times per week for the last 12 years. The buffet is amazing but the menu has never been worth it to me or the numerous other people I have introduced to Cafe On the Green. I am sad to say that the new owners are getting rid of the only thing that made the restaurant stand out. Please bring it back before too many people stop coming and you go under!!! I will miss it!

We have been going to the Cafe on the Green for special occasion dinners for years. Always found Chef Katie’s food to be amazing–imaginative, orgasmically flavorful, and beautifully presented. As soon as we looked at the menu on a recent trip however, we knew something had changed. The variety of choices and even the descriptions seemed more pedestrian. Sadly the menu was predictive of the meal. We both had the LFR Chicken. Ho hum. Really, we regularly have better meals–appetizers, salads, entres–at our local Carrabba’s. My partner exchanged her starter–Tomato Tartare–for the green salad in search of something with flavor. My starter–Chicharron Shrimp–amounted to four medium sized fried shrimp with nondescript flavor, although the hominy-mango relish served with it was tasty. Only the bread and the deserts (OMG!) at Cafe on the Green remain stellar–but then those are the work of longtime pastry chef Randy Gehman. In the middle of the meal, as we were being underwhelmed by the food, I took out my phone and googled around enough to learn that Chef Katie Natale had left to teach full time and had been replaced by the Four Seasons’ former Club Chef, Jonathan Rivera last March. Oh well! At these prices I think we have just found a place to go for desert (only) and will be in search of a restaurant somewhere reasonably close to justify the trip (we live 50+ miles away).
Great place for a working lunch. One of our favorite places for a working lunch! The lunch buffet is always amazing! So much variety! A nice selection for everyone!
For a four seasons resort, this restaurant is pretty average. The steaks were good, but not great. For the money, there are too many other great restaurants in Dallas.
Fathers Day Brunch. I went to Cafe on the green for Fathes day Brunch in 08. even though there was a wait, the wait was not long and the service was great. I love the large variety of food avaliable! I enjoy brunches with variety. The view is beautiful. Its pricey but well worth it for a nice decadent brunch.
