Very good Indian food. Roti Sabzi, Chaat or South Indian dosa fare, both very tasty indeed. Try the adai, authentic stuff! We also had the papdi chaat, recommended as well. They even have two types of sambhar (on the house), Madras and Andhra. The MAdras sambhar is divine.
Taj Chaat house is the place to go to fulfill all your chaat cravings. If you haven’t tasted Indian chaat before you should try it once. It is mix of tangy, sweet and spicy falvors and it is the most popular street food in India. This place is visited by good about of non-Indians too and I have always noticed that the staff take personal interest and explain the menu to them which is very nice of them. Some of my favorite dishes here are Bhel puri, Samosa Chaat and Sev puri. Their Dosas are pretty good too. Must try if you are in the vicinity.
Very cheap quality food, they serve almost everything from south india to north indian, gujrati, punjabi , indo-chinese, but nothing is authentic… I will never visit this place again.
Excellent food! Loved the experience. It’s not a traditional sit down restaurant and not a fast food place. You place your order and then grab the different items that are ready from the line. They buzz you on a pager as items come ready. You eat as it comes and pay when you turn your pager in. Unlimited wonderfully flavored regular and spicy sambar. Mixed pickle as well. Recommended for anyone but especially vegetarians. No meat in the joint but I think there’s some dairy in some items.I’ll be back for sure!!!
Unless you have an indian friend, don’t bother. I love indian food, and I’m sure this place does a good job, but the menu and ordering system is daunting to say the least. Absolutely nothing in english anywhere, and the staff does not seem to be very interested in helping english speaking customers navigate the system. I waited about 30 minutes for a carry out order of Aloo – something. portion was small, although the flavor was good, I would say it is not worth the hassle. Perhaps I went on a day when they were understaffed.
Worst customer service ever! I waited for my to-go order for 25 mins and it was only one item. Two other employees saw that I was waiting by the counter for a long time and told the cook to make my order but they didn’t seem to care. When I finally got my food it was made wrong so it was soggy by the time I came home.. I would not recommend this place to anyone.. The food sucks as it is its better to go to another chaat house to get better service and better food
