Stayed here for business, the best part of dinner was the dirty martini but they served in a plastic martini glass because I wanted to sit outside! With do many good food choices in Irving they need to step up, flatbread was ok but fairly bland.
Nice try but a miss. I was excited to try the NYLO in Plano as it is close to my house and would make for a great weekly place for dinner. We were pronmptly seated by the pool by a very friendly hostess and then it all started to go down hill. We ordered several selections from the happy hour menu. We ordered the scallops with artichoke puree, the calamari, and the flatbread. The server was inexperienced, and was not particularly well spoken or well versed in the menu. The food was very slow for happy hour fare, and when it arrived it was bery hit and miss. The flatbread was great eventhough it was served with a couple pieces missing because they had fallen on the floor. The calamari was also wonderful. The scallops however were aweful and inedible. They were old and should not have been served. If the kitchen were to be addressed and some of the service isses corrected this could be a real gem.
I like it!. I’ve been a few times, and I find the decor VERY modern, but once I got used to it, I felt right at home. The fireplace outside makes for a cozy spot. I don’t eat sushi, but they do have a full menu of non-sushi items as well. I tried the lamb and it was FANTASTIC- very tender. Only downside is that there’s not more of it!I find it to be more of a lounge area for drinks, but if you want to stay for dinner, they’re accomodating. The staff is polite, especially the girl at the front. Overall I loved the experience and will deffinitely be back!
